It seems more and more all of us Homo Sapiens seem to be falling into a trap that can lead to a miserable life.
We have gotten so good at what we do for a living that more and more is piled on and we proudly accept the additional loads.
In some cases we are maybe not so proud but rather afraid that if we don’t do all the extra assignments our boss may find someone who will and let’s face reality, we are all so very easy to to replace.
Life is getting more and more expensive so we fear the loss of that precious paycheck and what it might do to us and our families.
We are supposed to work to live, ensuring our families are taken care of, but instead more and more often, if you really sit back for a moment and take a close look then we realize we have falling into one of the worst traps and allowed ourself to commit a massive mistake…
We are living to work!
That is not the way it should be. All that can happen is we miss out on so many of the wonders life has to offer us and so many of the adventures we should be enjoying.
How many school plays or sports games have you missed with your kids wondering why you didn’t come to watch them?
Take a moment and look closely at your life and remember…
We are supposed to work to live, not live to work!
Take time to smile and laugh with your kids, make time to be with your loved ones and don’t forget to keep going on dates with your true love and keep the magic alive.
Yes, yes, I can already hear it now….
It’s hard to get time alone with my better half, what with the kids and homework and my job and then there’s the honey-do list….
I get it and I understand it, trust me, you are not alone in that struggle and that is why it’s even more important to appreciate each and every moment you have together.
When times are tough and you feel like you are drowning, the memories of these moments can make all the difference and help you through your challenges. When things seem to be spinning out of control, making time for your loved ones is crucial to help balance out the stresslevels you are enduring.
Take time each and every day to do something special. Not because you have to, but because you want to. It’s an incredible feeling to do something (big or small) special for someone else.
Value what is truly important in your life and align your goals so that the important things in your life still remain your #1 focal point.
Here’s to your success,
