You have the power! You control your destiny!

You have the power! You control your destiny!

Within each of us lies the power of our consent to health and sickness, to riches and poverty, to freedom and slavery. It is we who control these and not another.”
~ Richard Bach

You control your destiny. No one else does!

Sure, there may be some things you feel limit you from reaching that destiny, but frankly, if you were to sit down and clear your mind of any limits, you most likely would be willing to find a solution to overcome any obstacles you face. The real question is how much effort we are willing to put into overcoming said obstacles.
At some point, we may choose not to follow a certain path because we feel the effort required is more than we are willing to put forth.
All too often we will then find all kinds of reasons ‘why’ we are not pursuing this path, trying to justify to ourselves more than anyone else the ‘explanations’ we’ve decided to listen to.
Other times we let someone else whisper in our ear and change our mind for us.

If you feel and believe strongly enough, it doesn’t matter what anyone else says about your wishes, dreams and goals. All that matters is that you believe with all of your being that this is the path you want to travel and then take that first step.

Will you have to stretch to achieve your goals?

Will you have to stretch to achieve your goals?

Shoot for the moon. Even if you miss, you’ll land among the stars.” ~ Les Brown

Once upon a time you might have been told to shoot for the moon, but why limit yourself to the moon? Why not shoot for something higher, greater and more distant? Why would you only aim for the moon when you could instead reach for the stars?

Regardless of what you aim for, make sure it is a stretch to achieve. You don’t want your goals to be completely impossible to achieve as this could demoralize you and you might end up ‘giving up’ and abandoning your quest to reach your full potential.

Instead, always make sure your goals allow you to grow just a little bit more than the goal before did. Aim high, be proud of your desire to grow and stretch and then do the very best you can to achieve that next step on your journey. Always strive to bring the best out of yourself and those around you and you will continue to soar among the stars.

What you need to do to achieve your full potential…

What you need to do to achieve your full potential…

Failures do what is tension relieving, while winners do what is goal achieving.” ~ Dennis Waitley

To achieve your full potential you have to be willing and ready to do the things most others will not do. Just the simple fact that you are allowing me to share time with you right now is a sign of that willingness to grow and your desire to reach for greatness and achieve your potential – Make Your Mark!

Most people only ‘wish’ or ‘day-dream’ about the life they would ‘like’ to have but in all reality, that’s where for all too many it really ends. They do not reach beyond the dream and the wish to succeed, but instead just hope it will all fall into their lap. The simple fact that you are using some of your valuable time with me right now is already an example of taking action in the right direction. Instead of sitting around and watching TV or playing video games, you are feeding your spirit with inspiration and ‘words of wisdom’ in your endeavor to achieve your goals.

Stand back up after you are knocked down!

Stand back up after you are knocked down!

Only by contending with challenges that seem to be beyond your strength to handle at the moment, you can grow more surely toward the stars.” ~ Brian Tracy

Every day we encounter challenges and difficulties in our lives that have us wondering how we are going to overcome them. Sometimes the situation may seem extreme enough that we stick our head in the sand like an ostrich that is afraid of a predator just so we can avoid dealing with it.

Needless to say, sticking your head in the sand is not going to make the problem go away or solve the issue at hand. What we need to do is face our challenges. At times this can be a challenge in and of itself, but the sooner we can stand up again after being knocked down and dust ourselves off, the sooner we can work on overcoming our challenge. Just overcoming the challenge isn’t the whole issue you are dealing with, you have to deal with your fears, frustrations, worries and anxiety first before you can take on the challenge you are facing.

Each time you stand back up after being knocked down and then work on overcoming your challenge, you are strengthening your own resolve and you begin to grow. You will allow yourself to see possibilities and solutions where previously you only saw chaos and confusion. Over time, you will find that you have conditioned yourself to being open to solutions, growth and possibilities and you may find yourself not looking at challenges as a ‘knock-down’ but as an opportunity for growth!

Do not make this massive mistake in life…

Do not make this massive mistake in life…

It seems more and more all of us Homo Sapiens seem to be falling into a trap that can lead to a miserable life.

We have gotten so good at what we do for a living that more and more is piled on and we proudly accept the additional loads.

In some cases we are maybe not so proud but rather afraid that if we don’t do all the extra assignments our boss may find someone who will and let’s face reality, we are all so very easy to to replace.

Life is getting more and more expensive so we fear the loss of that precious paycheck and what it might do to us and our families.

We are supposed to work to live, ensuring our families are taken care of, but instead more and more often, if you really sit back for a moment and take a close look then we realize we have falling into one of the worst traps and allowed ourself to commit a massive mistake…

We are living to work!

That is not the way it should be. All that can happen is we miss out on so many of the wonders life has to offer us and so many of the adventures we should be enjoying.

How many school plays or sports games have you missed with your kids wondering why you didn’t come to watch them?

Take a moment and look closely at your life and remember…

We are supposed to work to live, not live to work!

Take time to smile and laugh with your kids, make time to be with your loved ones and don’t forget to keep going on dates with your true love and keep the magic alive.

Yes, yes, I can already hear it now….

It’s hard to get time alone with my better half, what with the kids and homework and my job and then there’s the honey-do list….

I get it and I understand it, trust me, you are not alone in that struggle and that is why it’s even more important to appreciate each and every moment you have together.

When times are tough and you feel like you are drowning, the memories of these moments can make all the difference and help you through your challenges. When things seem to be spinning out of control, making time for your loved ones is crucial to help balance out the stresslevels you are enduring.

Take time each and every day to do something special. Not because you have to, but because you want to. It’s an incredible feeling to do something (big or small) special for someone else.

Value what is truly important in your life and align your goals so that the important things in your life still remain your #1 focal point.

2007 Porsche Carrera S Grand Am GS race car

Sleek and fast 🙂

My question is if he’ll really be selling it or if it was just a joke, but when I look at the new number 08 they debuted at Mid-Ohio, perhaps he’s ready to roll out more new cars for the team.
