“I have often been afraid, but I would not give in to it. I made myself act as though I was not afraid and gradually my fear disappeared…” ~ Theodore Roosevelt
We all have to face the simple fact of life that now and then something is going to scare us. Regardless of what it is, be it the simple bump in the night, the eerie sound of some animal near us, or some challenge we are facing that seems to have us doomed to failure.
The key thing is to acknowledge and accept that you will become scared from time to time for different reasons.
Next you need to look deep within yourself and acknowledge and accept that ‘whatever it is’ is indeed something you are afraid of.
Finally, you need to dig even deeper within yourself and find that part of you that is stubborn and let it out. Allow it to guide you as you begin to address your worries and permit it to give yourself a sense of power over your fear.
If necessary keep repeating to yourself that ‘whatever it is’ is not scary and I can handle it. Picture in your mind’s eye how you have conquered this scary intruder of your life. Stay focused on the thoughts that are allowing you to become stronger and you will soon be able to see the path again that will allow you to move forward once more.
Here’s to your success,
