Work smart, not hard…

Work smart, not hard…

One of the key things in life is to leverage what you are doing.

Sure, at one point in my life, multi-tasking was the keyword of the day. I was always doing several different things at the same time and quite frankly, it didn’t always turn out the way I would have hoped. I would spread myself out too thinly and in the end, nothing came out the way I had envisioned it. Then of course the selfhelp coaches started coming out of the woodworks warning that intense multi-tasking can be detrimental to your success.

As in all things, moderation is warranted  🙂

So I was sitting here today, after getting some chores done, planning out my day.

There’s laundry, getting things ready for work tomorrow, a roadtrip I have to figure out for this coming week to help out a friend, some work out on the property, getting some work done for my business and of course I wanted to also write another post to help you too.

There also was something I wanted to discuss with Willie Crawford and a transcript I wanted to read, the list goes on.

And you know what?

I am getting all of those items checked off my list today  🙂

Some, I am doing one at a time, staying focused and giving it my all and a few I am doing while taking care of other things. For example, after getting some of the branches and other things from all over the property to the burnpile, I sat down (keeping an eye on the fire) and read the transcript of a great call between Willie Crawford, Jack Bastide and Diane Walker (if you want a copy of the MP3 and the transcript for free, stop by here – Thank you Willie, Jack and Diane). So, sure, a little bit of multi-tasking was involved, but nothing that would spread me too thin.

So now I am sitting here, writing all of this down for you and when I am done, I need to get a little more laundry done, see if I can sweettalk my angel into giving me a haircut and also do some dishes  🙂

But that’s exactly the point….

You don’t want to constantly have to do things over and over again (although the laundry and dishes never seem to end lol), but you want to do things that can benefit you for a long time to come.

Take this blogpost for example. Not only will it be archived here at so it can help others who find the site in the weeks, months and years to come, but when I hit the ‘publish’ button, it will also be posted to my LinkedIn, Facebook, Twitter, Tobri and IMFaceplate pages (to name a few). This way I can make sure and let all of my friends know about my new post and hopefully some of you will also post your comments and thoughts on how to help everyone else reading this post (after all I am not just writing this for the sake of writing it, but want to help you too and a lot of my friends have helpful tips to share as well – hint hint – post your comments already).

It’s the same when you promote something, or work on growing your business. You want to leverage your time and your efforts. As a matter of fact, some of the call Jack, Diane and Willie did was all about that and it was (once again), one of those AHA moments, a gentle reminder by the universe (or a cosmic 4 X 4).

In the past, I’ve let myself become too widespread, too unfocused and I suffered for it. I tried to cram 20 things into a single day, often working 20 hours a day, taking a short nap and getting right back to it and honestly, in the long run I burned out, got sick a lot and things just went downhill from there.

So this time around I am working smart, not hard. And I hope you don’t learn this lesson the hard way like I did.

One example of working smart, not hard, is taking advantage of Stuart Stirling’s TurnkeyCashKits (even better, they are free). He did all the work for me (and you) and you can use these kits to easily set up multiple streams of income.

But Stuart has gone a little further to help us leverage our time and our efforts. Just go take a look at the 47 Turnkey Affiliate Sites he put together for you in one package. What I really like is that he’s made it so simple to get them updated, uploaded and ready to generate income, it’s essentially a no-brainer. It’s like in the old days when you’d hear ‘Set it and forget it’ every day on TV. These sites really are ‘set it and forget it’, but let’s be honest, just setting them up won’t bring visitors to them, so make sure to dedicate some time and your planning to driving traffic to your new sites.

Each of these sites comes optimized and include multiple streams of income, and each is preloaded with articles and you can add even more content to make your site stand out from the crowd (I highly recommend that). All of the sites are in very strategic (and well-paying, hot in demand) niches and YOU ARE IN CONTROL!

But Stuart didn’t stop there either. He really did make it very simple to use and get it all setup, but there’s tons of help ready for you, regardless if you are an HTML or PHP expert, or just came online today and have no idea what either HTML or PHP stand for, there are even videos to walk you through it all  🙂
It’s for anyone, anywhere, as long as you have a desire to succeed!

Take a moment and check out the 47 Turnkey Affiliate Sites Stuart has set up for you right now, all of them are in-demand topics!

Well, there you have it….

Take it one step at a time, plan and strategize and work smart, not hard!

With that said, I put dinner in the oven a few minutes ago (special surprise for the kids, one of their favorites) and I need to go check on it now.

Here’s to your success,

P.s. I didn’t mention it, but if you are interested, Stuart also is providing an option for you to get the Resell Rights to all 47 Turnkey Affiliate Sites, go take a look now. For now, I am going to get dinner done, another load of laundry done, then reply to Willie’s message and work on some more helpful tips for this coming week to help you succeed  🙂

Ramping up, even when you don’t have time.

Ramping up, even when you don’t have time.

Let’s face it, life keeps all of us extremely busy, and some days it can seem like total pandemonium, a nonstop attack on the few precious minutes of every hour.

People need your help, the kids want to play too (and hey, frankly, I like playing with the kids). I want to spend time with my wife, get my work done, work on my business, grow my business, play with the dogs.

Then there’s that ‘Honey Do’ list…

And my own personal Task List…

It just goes on and on, right?

The car had the gear shift cable snap, the laptop seems to have fried, aaarrrrggghhhhh….

We’ve all had wild and crazy days that just seem to throw your whole week off or worse yet, weeks that throw your month off.

So what do you do?

Personally, I dust myself off after letting out a ‘primal scream’ or two and taking some deep breaths. Then I try to figure out how to tackle the new things, re-prioritize everything and just get going…

So, well, the car had to be taken care of, and it’s a lot better off, running smooth and I have some new tires to go with it – CHECK

The laptop, well…. now that’s another story, but I have a friend who’s taking a look at it to see what exactly is going on and I guess for right now, I am just going to keep my fingers crossed.

I figured out how to run my blog from my smartphone, update my social network sites, essentially I can do almost everything via other means and right now I am typing this using my wife’s new laptop (that I need to work on, because it pretty much doesn’t have any of the programs I normally would use).

Yet with challenge after challenge being thrown my way, while it may slow me down a little, I REFUSE to let it stop me!

This evening I updated wordpress itself, updated some of the plugins, cleaned out a lot of crap and spam messages.

Then I finally joined Networked Blogs (stop by and say hi) and also took a closer look at IM Faceplate.

Now I already knew a little bit about Networked Blogs, but have to admit there was a lot more to it than I was aware of, so much, that I needed to take a little time to check it out and then get it all set up. A few pieces will need some adjusting, but that’s ok.

It doesn’t have to be perfect, I just need to get it started and then finetune it.

IM Faceplate was another story. I hadn’t heard of it yet (that’s what happens when you take a couple of years off), so I took a look around after my buddy Doug Champigny pointed it out to me. I definitely like what I see, the pricetag is right and it’s a great way to stay in touch with my friends in the business community and combine a lot of my social networking sites and info into one, single place.

So I set up my faceplate tonight too. Then edited my blog’s layout a little bit, to clean things up and speed it up a bit.

Granted, not a full day’s work on my business, but I have kept it moving forward. I even took a little time to goof off and play ‘Angry Birds’ on my phone as well as think a bit on the topics of Quantum Physics and The Law Of Attraction.

Tomorrow I have a few errands to run, but then I will be working on some (behind the scenes) upcoming goodies to help you succeed, along with some new material I want to write about.

So it was a busy day….

But I had a blast too. I played with the kids, got some chores and housework done, went out with the family to a nice dinner (and had some fun there too).

What’s the moral of my story?

Have fun, don’t let anything stop you, always keep pushing and when you are faced by challenges then take a moment to figure out how to keep moving forward… again, don’t let anything stop you  🙂

Here’s to your success,

P.s. Stop by Networked Blogs and say Hi and then swing by my page at IM Faceplate (you definitely want to check out what they have to offer) and then share with me how you are not letting anything stop you  🙂

A blast from the past… or… what will you tell your kids when you are 40

A blast from the past… or… what will you tell your kids when you are 40

I came across this awesome and frankly hillarious post over on Keith Baxter’s AffiliateRadio and wanted to share it with you.
I remember hearing (growing up) about my grandfather going to school through 4 feet of snow, uphill (both ways) and yada yada yada lol.
Who doesn’t remember those conversations?

Well, here’s the latest version, for the digital age, for those of you that have hit 40 like me…

The funny part is that I can so relate to all the bullets in the post lol (you’ll see) and have to wonder what my kids will tell the younger generation when they turn 40 (and I am 85)…

Enjoy 🙂

Here’s to your success,

P.s. yes, it’s not about work, business or internet marketing… learn to laugh and have some fun too 🙂
